Rules for Juvenile Members

 

Juvenile Members (under 18 years) are permitted to start play from the 1st tee only up to 5.00pm on Monday, Thursday and Friday, up to 1.00pm on Wednesday, and after 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Juveniles are not allowed to play at anytime on Tuesday.

These times are subject to the availability of the course and on condition that they give way to adults waiting, ready to play the 1st tee at all times.

Under no circumstances may Juvenile Members start on any other hole – they must start from the 1st tee.

To clarify, the Juvenile Members starting times from 1st tee shall be as follows:

Monday ………….… 8.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday……………. Not allowed at anytime.
Wednesday.………… 8.00am to 1.00pm
Thursday.……………8.00am to 5.00pm
Friday..……………….8.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday.………………….After 3.00pm
Sunday….…………………After 3.00pm

In addition to the above a Juvenile Member may play with an adult member after 6.00pm on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

Juveniles Members are permitted to use the Practice Ground,
Chipping Greens and Putting Green at all times EXCEPT TUESDAY.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in disciplinary action been taken.

Competitions starting times for Juveniles at weekends

Up to and including 18 handicap may start at anytime but must be with an adult.


19 to 24 handicap inclusive may start after 10.30am but must be with an adult.

25 to 28 handicap not allowed compete in competitions at anytime.

When the number 32 card rule applies nobody may start until card number one has completed their round.


Standards and Etiquette on the Course

• Wear soft spikes – no runners / trainers (except for juveniles under 14).
• It is not acceptable to wear jeans, tracksuits, swimming shorts, tee-shirts with slogans, or football jerseys on the course. Golf shirts must have collars (sleeveless golf shirts are acceptable for ladies).
• Each member must have their own bag – no playing out of one bag.
• All members must display their membership bag tags.
• Three balls / Single Players must give way to Twosomes / Fourballs.
• Use of more than one ball player is strictly forbidden – i.e. NO practicing on course.
• Raking of bunkers and repairing pitchmarks is a priority.
• Litter on course - members should be encourages to pick up rubbish and to deposit it in bin at next tee.
• Use of mobile phones on the course is strictly forbidden.
• Practice ground, chipping green, putting green strictly off limits to non-members – except for members for the day e.g. Green Fees and Societies.
• Children, who are registered with Kiddies Golf, must pay Green Fee of €2, for insurance purposes and must be accompanied by an adult, at all times.
• Rules re: playing times for Juveniles must be strictly adhered to.


Standard of Dress

Course

The following Items of Dress are Unacceptable at all times:

• Denim Jeans and Jackets
• Leisure Suits
• Tracksuits (Tops or Bottoms)
• Collarless Shirts
• Tank Tops
• Garments displaying slogans
• Runners, Canvas shoes or Tennis shoes (Permissible for U14)
• Trouser Legs must never be tucked into socks

Note: Knee socks or Sport socks must be worn with tailored shorts

Clubhouse

Smart casual wear will be acceptable in the Clubhouse but any type of footwear worn on the Course is Not Permitted.
Smart casual wear should be clean and tidy and should Not Include:

• Cut, patched or faded denim jeans or jackets
• Leisure Suits
• Tracksuits (Top or bottoms)
• Collarless Shirts
• Tank Tops
• Garments displaying slogans
• Runners, Canvas shoes or Tennis shoes (Permissible for Juveniles)

Note: The wearing of shorts and headgear are Not Permitted in the bar or Dining Room.
Tailored shorts may be worn by ladies.
