As Officers of Douglas Golf Club for 2012 we are extremely honoured and proud at being elected and are very conscious of the responsibility that comes with these roles. We would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the former officers for nominating us and to you, the members, for endorsing their proposals

We look forward to working with the various committees to ensure that the structures that have been put in place over the history of the club are maintained and, where possible, improved. To this end we would welcome all suggestions members may have and would ask you to participate fully in the spirit of the club by supporting our competitions, our professional and the facilities both on and off the course.

It is also vital that members support our various sponsors in recognition of their commitment to us. Sponsorship is vital to Douglas Golf Club as without it we would find it extremely difficult to maintain the level of competitions we have developed over many years.

We would urge you to support our teams during the year as panel members give hugely of their time to represent our club. Success in national and local competitions may depend on this support.

We look forward to representing you at external golf and social events in 2012 and we will strive to maintain the tradition of Douglas Golf Club as handed down by our predecessors.
